Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Research Chemist to join a Kimberley, Canada laboratory. The role will develop and implement analytical methods to advance product development and quality control initiatives.

You will work with a team using HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS and spectroscopy to characterize materials, identify impurities, and ensure product integrity in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related field.
• 3+ years of analytical method development and validation experience.
• Hands-on experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments.
• Strong understanding of quantitative analysis and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods (HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS).
• Perform routine and non-routine sample analyses for R&D and QC projects.
• Characterize materials and finished products for quality and purity.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and methods to ensure optimal performance.
• Document procedures and results in detailed reports.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to provide analytical support.
