Certified Group in Canada seeks a Mass-Spec Analytical Chemistry Scientist to lead high‑complexity testing in support of an FDA proposal. The role requires hands-on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GC-MS and LC‑qTOF systems, with focus on unknown identification and QA/QC metrics.

The candidate will prepare samples, perform method development, document results, and interact with vendors while contributing to technical documentation and validation summaries.

Qualifications

• PhD/MSc in Chemistry with 5+ years of experience.
• Expertise in GC-MS and LC‑qTOF for unknowns identification.
• Experience with NTA/unknowns workflows and QA/QC metrics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test samples, including forced degradation and stability testing.
• Independently operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical systems.
• Perform routine and advanced instrument maintenance and performance verification.
• Diagnose complex instrument performance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain technical records and assist in documentation and validation studies.
