Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality for chemical products in Kimberley, Canada. You will develop, implement, and oversee QC systems throughout manufacturing, testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods to verify specifications and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 2–4 years in QA/QC within the chemical industry, proficiency in analytical techniques, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related science.
  • 2-4 years of experience in QA/QC in chemical industry.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with QMS and SPC.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
  • Good reporting and documentation for Kimberley operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust quality control plans and procedures for chemical products.
  • Perform routine testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment used for quality testing.
  • Investigate quality deviations and CAPAs (corrective and preventive actions).
  • Ensure ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare CoAs and SPC charts.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality for their chemical products in Kimberley . This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing quality control systems and procedures throughout the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction in Kimberley .

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement robust quality control plans and procedures for chemical products.
  • Perform routine testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment used for quality testing.
  • Investigate quality deviations and non-conforming products, implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare quality reports, Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), and statistical process control charts.
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering , Chemistry, or a related science discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the chemical industry.
  • Proficiency in analytical laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and documentation skills for reporting in Kimberley .
