Department Overview

The Wealth Management Support Finance team collaborates closely with the Wealth National Office Line of Business (LOB), supporting revenue-generating LOBs such as Direct Investing, Advice, and Asset Management, as well as TDBG’s centralized financial expertise (e.g., Chief Accountant’s Group, Performance Management & Insights, Enterprise Strategy & Decision Support, Finance Operations). The team provides expertise in business planning, financial analysis, measurement, valuation, and risk assessment aligned with TDBG’s financial strategies and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Management reporting, expense forecasting, and analytics supporting business partners
  • Project governance, business case support, and analytics for Pan Wealth projects
  • Monitoring and reporting on Pan Wealth expense initiatives
  • Expense allocation and monthly/quarterly reporting and analytics

Job Description

The Senior Finance Analyst reports to the Senior Group Manager, Wealth Finance. Responsibilities include developing financial support in planning, forecasting, and management reporting for the Wealth National Office and support pillars. The candidate should have strong financial skills, accounting principles knowledge, and familiarity with TDBG financial systems like Hyperion.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Participating in annual planning and quarterly forecasting with analytics and commentary
  • Enhancing process excellence through ongoing improvements
  • Analyzing forecast results and trends to advise on business outlooks
  • Identifying issues, risks, and opportunities, recommending actions
  • Providing financial analysis and strategic support, including preparing presentations and business cases
  • Engaging effectively with stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Developing dynamic financial planning models
  • Contributing to team effectiveness and a positive work environment
  • Driving continuous improvement and providing ad hoc project support

Requirements

  • University/College education in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business
  • Business and/or accounting designation (MBA, CFA, CMA, CGA, CA) an asset
  • Understanding of TD Wealth business is an asset
  • Experience with Hyperion 11 SmartView, EPM, OAC is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
