We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will report to the Director, Finances, and contribute in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. With advanced financial analysis and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes to drive strategic decision-making, cost optimization, and profitability, he/she will play a key role in the analysis of the financial results, participate in the budgeting and forecasting process and presentation to the leadership team.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough financial analysis to explain financial results and variances to budget/forecast
Present the results to senior management and stakeholders
Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance
Participate in strategic initiatives including Merger and Acquisitions

Budgeting and Forecasting

Prepare and manage annual budgets with the stakeholders
Monitor budget variances and provide insights to support budgetary control measures
Forecast financial performance based on current trends and future expectations

Internal Controls

Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
Monitor compliance with internal control policies and procedures
Implement improvements to strengthen internal controls as needed

Leadership and Collaboration

Work closely with the operations team and provide them with support and guidance to ensure the financial performance
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance and operation department

Your profile

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related
Must possess CPA or CFA designation
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance
Experience in cost accounting in a complex manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting techniques and in financial modeling
Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner (French and English)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") is an asset
