Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst, Strategy & Business Development - Defense in Dorval, QC. This on-site role focuses on leading strategic analysis, planning, and business development for key defense missions, with emphasis on data-driven decisions and executive-level communication.

You will drive dashboards, scenarios, and investment prioritization while coordinating with senior stakeholders across business units and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in strategic analysis, planning, or management consulting.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence senior stakeholders; strong analytical skills.

• Lead data collection, modeling, and analysis to support the five-year strategic plan.
• Design and deliver executive-level presentations and materials for planning workshops and alignment sessions.

What are your contributions to the team?

Strategic Planning Leadership

• Lead data collection, modeling, and analysis to support the development of the five-year strategic plan.
• Design and deliver executive-level presentations and materials for planning workshops and alignment sessions.
• Oversee dashboards and KPIs, ensuring accurate tracking of strategic objectives.

Business Analysis & Development

• Shape strategies for key mission segments (Maritime Patrol, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Aerial and Early Warning, Head of State), ensuring alignment with Bombardier Defense’s long-term objectives.
• Assess mission-specific market opportunities and competitive positioning.
• Define capability roadmaps and investment priorities for each mission area.
• Support portfolio decisions through scenario planning and opportunity sizing.

Strategic Initiatives & Project Management

• Monitor progress of strategic projects, proactively identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Conduct advanced benchmarking and research to support strategic partnerships and industrial cooperation projects.
• Lead preparation of documentation for product strategy activities, including business cases for new product ideas.

How to thrive in this role?

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 5+ years of experience in strategic analysis, planning, or management consulting. Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence senior stakeholders. Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and strategic modeling tools. Experience in defense or aerospace industry strongly preferred. Exceptional communication skills and ability to present to executive audiences.
