Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Dorval, QC, Canada, seeks an Analyst Senior for Strategy & Business Development - Defense to drive five-year strategic planning and business development initiatives. You will lead data collection, develop analyses, and prepare executive materials to align with defense objectives.

The role requires 5+ years of strategic analysis experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a defense/aerospace context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic analysis, planning, or management consulting.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence senior stakeholders.
• Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and strategic modeling tools.
• Experience in defense or aerospace industry preferred.
• Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead data collection, modeling, and analysis to support the development of the five-year strategic plan.
• Design and deliver executive-level presentations and materials for planning workshops and alignment sessions.
• Oversee dashboards and KPIs, ensuring accurate tracking of strategic objectives.

Strategic Planning Leadership

• Lead data collection, modeling, and analysis to support the development of the five-year strategic plan.
• Design and deliver executive-level presentations and materials for planning workshops and alignment sessions.
• Oversee dashboards and KPIs, ensuring accurate tracking of strategic objectives.

Business Analysis & Development

• Shape strategies for key mission segments (Maritime Patrol, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Aerial and Early Warning, Head of State), ensuring alignment with Bombardier Defense’s long-term objectives.
• Assess mission-specific market opportunities and competitive positioning.
• Define capability roadmaps and investment priorities for each mission area.
• Support portfolio decisions through scenario planning and opportunity sizing.

Strategic Initiatives & Project Management

• Monitor progress of strategic projects, proactively identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Conduct advanced benchmarking and research to support strategic partnerships and industrial cooperation projects.
• Lead preparation of documentation for product strategy activities, including business cases for new product ideas.

How to thrive in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in strategic analysis, planning, or management consulting.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence senior stakeholders.
• Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and strategic modeling tools.
