Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an Analyst, Engineering Program Management to join the Aerospace Canada team. Based at the Global 7500/8000 Administrative Centre, the role involves leading project portfolios, scheduling, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver programs on time and within scope.

You will bring a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, 5+ years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of relevant experience in engineering program management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and management of project portfolios, schedules and budgets.
• Establish and track risks with mitigation strategies and present updates to senior management.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to cross-functional teams and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Control program costs and support negotiations with suppliers on scope and schedule.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Articulate the goals and objectives of the program, and how it will impact the business;
• Own the development and management of the strategies, schedules and budget of your project portfolio;

• Establish & present project schedules and business cases, and guide the cross functional team towards defined project milestones;

• Establish and track metrics to monitor performance and progress, prepare status reports and modify schedules and plans as required;
• Provide day-to-day leadership to cross-functional teams;
• present project schedules, business cases and updates at regular reviews with senior management;
• Identify key project risk items, with corresponding risk mitigation or reduction strategies;
• Escalate to the appropriate level of management as needed;
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
• Control Program costs (manpower, material and other direct costs), support negotiations with suppliers and other stakeholders in terms of schedule, technical scope and commercial impact

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business;
• You have a technical or manufacturing background in aerospace (considered an asset);
• You have more than five (5) years of relevant experience;
• You possess initiative, are results driven, and have the desire to make decisions;
• You have strong project management experience, team leadership skills as well solid analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities;
• You possess superior communication skills (written & spoken) and the ability to influence at different levels of the organization;
• You can work under pressure and tight deadlines, and still deliver on commitments;
• You have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).

The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $ XX,XXX to CAD $ XX,XXX per year. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications.

In some cases, the base salary offered may differ from the expected range of base salary listed above.
