Job summary

People Corporation is seeking an Analyst, External Reporting to assist the finance team with timely, high-quality financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders. You will contribute to consolidated quarterly and annual statements under IFRS, perform accounting research, and help improve external reporting processes.

The role offers growth in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment and exposure to various accounting policy implementations and acquisition accounting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Enrollment in the CPA program required.
  • 1-3 years of audit, accounting or financial reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of IFRS.
  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Workday and OfficeConnect preferred.
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the preparation of consolidated quarterly and annual audited financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

  • Support standardization and process improvement initiatives within the external reporting function.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, and support compliance efforts across the organization
  • Support accurate and timely accounting for acquisitions by collaborating closely with the accounting team.

Job description

The Analyst, External Reporting will assist the finance team in providing accurate, timely and relevant information to internal and external stakeholders of People Corporation to enable business decision making.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, External Reporting, the Analyst, External Reporting is responsible for assisting in the preparation of high-quality quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as performing accounting research, documentation and provide guidance.

The Analyst, External Reporting will:
  • Participate in the preparation of consolidated quarterly and annual audited financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

  • Assist with accounting research and documentation, and support the provision of accounting guidance to the finance team.

To be successful as an Analyst, External Reporting with People Corporation, you will need:

The base salary for this position is between $50,000 - $65,000 annually.

This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
