Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking an experienced Analyst, Engineering Program Management to lead and coordinate engineering programs across the Global 7500/8000 portfolio. You will drive goals, schedules and budgets with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, 5+ years in PM, and strong leadership and communications skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in project management.
• Strong leadership, analytical and planning abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; ability to influence at different levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Define goals and objectives of the program and impact on the business.
• Own the development and management of the strategies, schedules and budget of the project portfolio.
• Establish & present project schedules and business cases, and guide cross functional team towards milestones.
• Establish and track metrics to monitor performance and progress, prepare status reports and adjust schedules as required.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to cross-functional teams.
• Present project schedules, business cases and updates at regular reviews with senior management.
• Identify key project risk items with corresponding mitigation strategies.
• Escalate to appropriate management levels as needed.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Control program costs and support negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Articulate the goals and objectives of the program, and how it will impact the business;
• Own the development and management of the strategies, schedules and budget of your project portfolio;
• Establish & present project schedules and business cases, and guide the cross functional team towards defined project milestones;
• Establish and track metrics to monitor performance and progress, prepare status reports and modify schedules and plans as required;
• Provide day-to-day leadership to cross-functional teams;

• Control Program costs (manpower, material and other direct costs), support negotiations with suppliers and other stakeholders in terms of schedule, technical scope and commercial impact

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business;
• You have a technical or manufacturing background in aerospace (considered an asset);
• You have more than five (5) years of relevant experience;
• You possess initiative, are results driven, and have the desire to make decisions;
• You have strong project management experience, team leadership skills as well solid analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities;
• You possess superior communication skills (written & spoken) and the ability to influence at different levels of the organization;
• You can work under pressure and tight deadlines, and still deliver on commitments;
• You have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).

The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $ XX,XXX to CAD $ XX,XXX per year. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications.

In some cases, the base salary offered may differ from the expected range of base salary listed above.
