How will you make an impact in this role?
The Analyst, Commercial Business Support will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day execution of governance, controls and operational efficiency supporting the profitable growth of the commercial business In Canada. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Planning, this position will be responsible for providing data-driven insights, supporting commercial business operations, regulatory requirements, forecasting and reporting. They will be the first point of contact for all inquiries centered around AML and controls, performance and forecasting, strategic business initiatives and critical stakeholder management .They will be tasked with liaising with partners across ICS and the COE supporting key initiatives for the commercial business to drive the desired strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze business performance data and provide regular forecasting and insights to support planning and decision-making.
- Track and forecast key performance indicators (KPIs) , operational processes, and business initiatives.
- Identifytrends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement by analyzing metrics,clientdata, and macroeconomic trends.
- Support the Senior Manager with ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests for leadership reviews.
Provide support in tracking and managing acquisition and client campaigns, ensuring coordination between sales & AD teams, marketing, and operations.
Operational Excellence and Regulatory oversight
- Support governance and regulatory requirements for the business as required, ensuring all activities align with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the GCO, Compliance and OE teams to ensure adherence to current regulations and implement new compliance standards as required.
- Identify process risks and develop mitigating controls and/or control enhancements for these functions.
- Manage IMH and OREs as required providing business support, reporting and insights for successful completion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a liaison across key stakeholder teams like FP&I, Marketing, Operations, Risk and Compliance to ensure clear communication and timely delivery of key initiatives.
- Assist in preparing materials, trainings, presentations, and updates for cross-functional meetings and business reviews.
- Ensure regular and clear communication of project status and key updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Project Management & Execution Support
- Provide analytical support for special projects related to sales/AD operations and business planning.
- Track the progress of key projects and initiatives, ensuring that deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
- Assist in coordinating logistics, scheduling, and preparation for project-related meetings.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within sales support, business operations, or a similar function.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and business reporting tools.
- Ability to interpret and analyze large sets of data to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to work across teams and present findings effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
