Job summary

Fiera Capital is seeking an Analyst to join its Asset Management team in Toronto. You will develop and maintain financial models across infrastructure assets and funds, and contribute to valuation analyses and investor reporting.

The role offers exposure to refinancing, acquisitions, divestitures, and post-acquisition monitoring, with mentoring from senior teams and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academics in business, finance, or engineering.
  • 1–3 years in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, valuations, pension investing, or management consulting.
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, or real assets preferred.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with detailed valuation/cash flow models.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex financial models for infrastructure companies and funds.
  • Perform investment sensitivity and performance analyses at asset and fund level.
  • Prepare reporting to investors and co-investors.
  • Coordinate asset onboarding and maintain portfolio information and reporting databases.
  • Support post-acquisition investment monitoring and asset management activities.
  • Work on value creation opportunities such as refinancings, add-ons, and divestitures.
  • Assist with valuation processes and coordination with external valuation providers and auditors.
  • Support investor relations and fundraising teams; assist with responses to investor questions.
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

For individuals seeking to build a long-term career in private markets and infrastructure investing, this role provides exceptional breadth of experience and professional development.Your responsibilities:Developing, maintaining, and operating complex financial models for purposes of managing and reporting on infrastructure companies and funds;Performing detailed investment sensitivity and performance analysis for asset and fund level metrics;Prepare reporting to investors and co-investors;Co-ordinating asset onboardings, drafting investment updates, and maintaining portfolio information and reporting databases;Supporting post-acquisition investment monitoring and asset management activities;Working with the team on value creation opportunities, such as refinancings, add-on acquisitions and divestitures;Supporting monthly and annual valuation processes, including preparation of valuation analyses and coordination with external valuation providers and auditors;Supplement investor relations and fundraising teams, including assisting with responses to current and prospective investor questions; andAssisting with special projects and strategic initiatives as they arise.Must have requirements to be successful in this role:Undergraduate degree with outstanding academic achievement; a focus in business, finance, or engineering is preferred.One to three years of experience in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, valuations, transaction advisory, pension investing, or management consulting.Exposure to the infrastructure, energy, transportation, utilities, or other real asset sectors is preferred.Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including experience building and maintaining detailed valuation, operating, and cash flow models.Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and problem-solving capabilities.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Additional Information:Our workplace model includes 4 days a week in the office, Monday through Thursday.The salary range for this position is $98,000- $115,000. This role is also eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses and employee benefits.
