Job Description

As a member of the Asset Management department, this individual will be exposed to many facets of asset management for a large and growing nationwide residential income portfolio. This individual will play a key role in supporting the department across a multitude of portfolio services and initiatives to optimize portfolio performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review pipeline of properties being considered for sale/disposition by collecting data from appropriate sources and analyzing it to prepare meaningful and concise reports that summarize the information.
  • Work with local teams to review scope of work, property condition reports, repair bids, historical financial performance, field recommendations, and market conditions; provide hold/sell recommendations to management.
  • Manage property insurance claims processing, flood insurance, compliance, coordinate annual renewals, and prepare budgets and property allocations.
  • Review property tax administration including property assessments and valuations, tax appeals, and budget forecasting.
  • Assist with transactions, coordinate BPO valuations, organize property inspections, and other transaction materials.
  • Coordinate ancillary revenue initiatives across the nationwide portfolio of single-family homes.
  • Support department by coordinating projects, maintaining central project files, providing communication support, developing presentations, and tracking status.
  • Perform other ad-hoc/special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — written and verbal; ability to interface with top-level executives.
  • Ability to multitask across various initiatives while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; related experience and/or training.
  • 2-4 years of financial, property management, or real estate experience.
  • Knowledge of the residential real estate industry is preferred.
  • Previous asset management experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with Yardi is a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter.
