Position Overview

Fitch Ratings’ Funds & Asset Management group seeks an Analyst based out of Toronto. The group analyzes fund ratings, methodology, and regulatory developments affecting the asset management sector, including private equity, securitizations, leveraged funds, ETFs, and asset managers.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of funds and transactions
  • Lead on-site due diligence meetings with fund managers
  • Develop new rating methodologies based on market demand
  • Research trends affecting the sector
  • Review legal documentation for transactions
  • Develop financial models and databases
  • Present rating recommendations to committees
  • Mentor and develop team members
  • Engage with industry events and market participants
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of finance experience, with exposure to funds or structured finance a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or computer science
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with fund finance, subscription, or NAV facilities
  • Knowledge of SQL, VBA, or programming languages
  • Proven initiative and achievement
