Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is a family-owned global leader in metal recycling with 125+ sites and 4,000+ employees. You will accurately review vendor invoices, validate charges against POs/receipts, and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely posting.

Join AIM’s finance team to reconcile statements, monitor payment schedules, and deliver high-quality service to internal departments and external vendors, while upholding strong accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a similar AP/invoice processing role.
• Post-secondary education in accounting or business field.
• Bilingual in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely review of vendor invoices for posting in AIM’s various accounting systems.
• Validate invoice charges against purchase orders and goods/service receipts, or that authorized approvals have been obtained.
• Identify and resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
• Follow-up with vendors or AIM departments for discrepancy resolution.
• Follow-up with various AIM departments pending transactions.
• Reconcile vendor statements with the company’s subledger.
• Monitor vendor’s payment schedules to ensure timely payment.
• Provide a quality service to external and internal clients.

Job Description

What you’re responsible for:

Qualifications
