Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Montreal is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure accurate processing of vendor invoices and timely postings.

You will validate charges, resolve discrepancies, reconcile statements, and liaise with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth payment cycles.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review vendor invoices for posting in AIM’s accounts systems.
• Validate charges against POs and receipts or approvals obtained.
• Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
• Follow up with vendors or AIM departments for discrepancies.
• Follow up with AIM departments on pending transactions.
• Reconcile vendor statements with the subledger.
• Monitor vendor payment schedules to ensure timely payments.
• Provide quality service to external and internal clients.

Job Description

What you’re responsible for:

• Accurate and timely review of vendor invoices for posting in AIM’s various accountingsystems.
• Validate invoice charges against purchase orders and goods/service receipts, or thatauthorized approvals have been obtained.
• Identify and resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
• Follow-up up directly with vendors or AIM departments where necessary fordiscrepancy resolution.
• Follow-up with various AIM departments pending transactions.
• Reconcile vendor statements with the company’s subledger.
• Monitor vendor’ payment schedules to ensure that timely payment is received.
• Provide a quality service to external and internal clients.

Qualifications
