We are seeking local Edmonton and area residents to join our team!
The Service Maintenance & Support Technician is responsible for ensuring that AMS service tools and equipment are in working condition and completing repairs as required. The role also involves providing service technician assistance in the field as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the AMS Frac Business Development & Service Manager, AMS Field Supervisors, and the AMS Service department.
- Assisting with maintenance, repairs, certification, and record-keeping of AMS service-related tools, equipment, and assets.
- Providing quality service to internal customers of the AMS Service Department.
- Following all company policies and health and safety requirements.
- Assisting with field service, project work, and single-trip service tasks.
- Executing the Preventative Maintenance program on AMS service tools to ensure efficient operation.
- Reviewing and investigating equipment condition prior to repair or maintenance.
- Coordinating with other departments before scheduled maintenance.
- Cleaning, aligning, calibrating, and repairing machines and equipment as necessary.
- Maintaining organized and accurate maintenance records.
- Ensuring company equipment and property are maintained to standards.
- Managing outsourced repairs or equipment outsourcing as needed.
- Training Service Technicians on company tools, equipment, and assets.
- Performing hotshot services to locations as required.
- Collaborating with the service crew during truck or personnel change-outs.
- Maintaining scheduled maintenance and certifications for equipment such as cranes, service units, hydraulic accumulators, generators, torque wrenches, and pressure test equipment.
- Providing on-call and after-hours support.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Preferred candidates will have:
- A high school diploma and at least two years of gate valve and wellhead assembly or service experience.
- Previous machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic accumulators, pneumatic tools, etc.
- Previous field service experience.
- Knowledge of ball drop and isolation tools.
- Crane certification for folding or stiff boom trucks up to 22 tonnes, with CraneSafe or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitors' equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Strong mechanical skills, good work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office; ERP software knowledge is a plus.
- Relevant tickets such as First Aid, H2S, Fall Arrest, Aerial Lift.
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to produce a driving record.
- A strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
