Job summary

Wood Mackenzie is seeking a Managing Consultant for the Americas Gas & LNG Consulting team, based in Calgary or Houston. You will lead the management and delivery of a wide range of commercial and strategic consulting projects, shaping opportunities, performing analyses, managing the project lifecycle, and developing client insights to support critical decisions.

You will collaborate across sectors, coach teammates, build client relationships, and contribute to proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, statistics, or engineering.
• Top-tier master's and/or MBA preferred.
• 3+ years in management consulting or energy-focused consulting in the Americas.
• Advanced data analytics and Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of natural gas within the energy value chain.

Responsibilities

• Bring a thorough and current understanding of Americas gas and LNG markets.
• Act as Project Manager, coordinating and managing consulting projects with detailed plans.
• Lead and execute complex analysis of commodity markets and project economics.
• Develop natural gas and LNG market fundamentals and pricing models.
• Build and present concise presentations for a senior audience.
• Support the creation and review of consulting proposals that demonstrate value.
• Engage in broader Consulting practice activities such as recruiting, training, and improvements.
• Build and maintain an internal network across consulting, research, and sales.
• Actively coach teammates to advance consulting skills and processes.
