Job summary

Skyservice is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to perform avionics-related work on our business jets, in hangar or on ramps, ensuring workmanship meets Transport Canada standards.

You will lead major inspection and modification projects, supervise junior technicians, and ensure all aircraft documents are complete and certified.

Qualifications

  • Valid Transport Canada Category E License.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related position.
  • Aircraft Maintenance/Avionics Technical Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with corporate type aircraft is an asset.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail; Positive attitude; Good team spirit; Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Efficiently perform all avionics-related activities on aircraft as requested by the customer, both in the hangar and on the ramp;
  • Act as a "lead" on major aircraft inspection and modification projects, and be responsible for supervising and guiding the work performed by junior technicians and/or apprentices assigned to these projects;
  • Ensure that all aircraft documents are duly completed;
  • Ensure that each component installed on the aircraft is certified;
  • Fulfill the tasks and responsibilities described in the Avionics Service Control Manual and ensure compliance with Transport Canada standard regulations;
  • Participate in training courses as assigned by management;
  • Respect the SMS (Safety Management System) policy;
  • Maintain and ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times;
  • Assist in all other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Valid Transport Canada Category E License;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related position;
  • Work experience with corporate type aircraft is an asset;
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Attention to detail; Positive attitude; Good team spirit; Good communication skills;
  • Flexible to work assigned shifts (weekend/night).
EDUCATION:
  • Aircraft Maintenance/Avionics Technical Diploma or equivalent
