Job summary

Skyservice is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to lead major inspection and modification projects. You will supervise junior technicians, ensure proper documentation and certification of components, and follow Transport Canada regulations in a dynamic maintenance environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid Transport Canada Category E License.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
  • Experience with corporate type aircraft is an asset.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail, positive attitude and good teamwork.
  • Flexibility for weekend/night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently perform all avionics-related activities on aircraft as requested by the customer, in hangar or on the ramp.
  • Act as lead on major inspection and modification projects and supervise junior technicians/apprentices.
  • Ensure all aircraft documents are correctly completed.
  • Verify that each installed component is certified.
  • Follow tasks in the Avionics Service Control Manual and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Participate in management-assigned training courses.
  • Respect the SMS Safety Management System policy.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times.
  • Assist in other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Efficiently perform all avionics-related activities on aircraft as requested by the customer, both in the hangar and on the ramp;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Valid Transport Canada Category E License;

  • Work experience with corporate type aircraft is an asset;
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Attention to detail; Positive attitude; Good team spirit; Good communication skills.
  • Flexible to work assigned shifts. (weekend/night)
EDUCATION:
  • Aircraft Maintenance/Avionics Technology Diploma or equivalent
