Job description

AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer), Mechanical Systems

PAL Aerospace, in partnership with Airbus Defence & Space, is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers for the FWSAR Program, supporting the Canadian Forces' Fixed Wing Search and Rescue aircraft replacement project. The role involves maintaining CC295 aircraft at various bases, including Winnipeg, MB, Comox, BC, Greenwood, NS, and Trenton, ON.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft and related systems.
  2. Report and coordinate issues affecting aircraft serviceability.
  3. Ensure compliance with maintenance manuals and regulations.
  4. Coordinate parts and tools requirements.
  5. Complete documentation and certification for maintenance work.
  6. Rotate between bases as needed.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Completed Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course or equivalent experience.
  2. Hold M2 or E Aircraft Maintenance License or equivalent.
  3. Experience with electronic record-keeping systems.
  4. Training on C295/CC295 is an asset.
  5. Ability to complete PAL FWSAR onboarding and DND DRMIS training.
  6. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and in teams, including deployment with RCAF.
  8. Flexible to work shifts and adapt to operational needs.
  9. Strong troubleshooting skills.
  10. Ability to obtain security clearances (Level II - Secret, ITAR/CCG).
