Job summary

Knix Wear, Inc. is seeking an Allocator to lead initial store allocations and ongoing inventory flow across stores, e-commerce, and emerging channels.

You will report to the Replenishment & Allocation team to maximize in-stock performance and inventory productivity. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, cross-functional collaboration with merchandising, planning, and operations, and proactive optimization of allocation across CA and US distribution centers.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail allocation, merchandising, planning, or inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of retail math and metrics (sell-through, in-stock, GM).
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with allocation or inventory systems is a plus.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own initial and ongoing store allocations across channels.
  • Execute allocation strategies for seasonal launches and new products.
  • Balance inventory across stores, DCs (CA & US), and e-commerce.
  • Monitor sales and inventory to inform timely reallocations.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Planning, and Replenishment to align forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve in-stock performance and reduce excess inventory.
  • Maintain allocation systems, tools, and reporting for accuracy and speed.
  • Provide clear reporting on movement, store performance, and allocation effectiveness.

Job description

As an Allocator, you’ll be responsible for the initial distribution and ongoing flow of inventory across stores, e-commerce, and emerging channels. Reporting to the Replenishment & Allocation team, you’ll ensure inventory is deployed effectively to maximize in-stock performance, sales, and inventory productivity across all channels.

  • You communicate clearly and collaborate well across merchandising, planning, and operations teams
  • You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions with imperfect information
    What You'll Do
    • Own initial and ongoing store allocations, ensuring optimal distribution of inventory across all channels
    • Execute allocation strategies that support seasonal launches, new product introductions, and in-season performance
    • Balance inventory across stores, distribution centers (CA & US), and channels including e-commerce, Amazon, and wholesale
    • Monitor sales performance, sell-through, and inventory levels to make timely reallocation and transfer recommendations for stores
    • Partner with Merchandising, Planning, and Replenishment to align allocations with assortment and demand forecasts
    • Identify and act on opportunities to improve in-stock performance, reduce excess inventory, and optimize size and SKU distribution
    • Maintain allocation systems, tools, and reporting to ensure accuracy, speed, and consistency
    • Provide clear reporting and insights on inventory movement, store performance, and allocation effectiveness
    Qualifications
    • Previous experience in retail allocation, merchandising, planning, or inventory management
    • Strong understanding of retail math and key metrics (sell-through, in-stock, WOS, inventory turn, GM)
    • Advanced Excel skills; experience with allocation or inventory systems is an asset
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into action
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environment
    Compensation
    • $62,000 CAD annual salary and up
