Reporting to the Director – Mapping & Allocations, the Manager – Mapping & Allocations is responsible for supporting the floor planning and product allocation strategy for the Health & Beauty and Home & Entertainment categories within the Market Division.

This role partners closely with category teams to develop store-level floor plans that optimize selling space, drive sales and margin, and ensure products are appropriately bought and allocated across the store network. The Manager is responsible for translating merchandising strategies into effective floor plans and allocation decisions while collaborating with Supply Chain to support replenishment activities. This role includes direct leadership of a Senior Analyst, providing coaching, direction, and support to deliver team objectives.

Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with category teams to develop and maintain store-level floor plans on a rotational basis.
  • Develop floor planning strategies that optimize store space, support category objectives, and maximize sales and margin opportunities.
  • Ensure value and merchandising strategies are appropriately mapped throughout the store perimeter to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Manage the allocation of product to stores based on approved floor plans and merchandising strategies.
  • Partner with Supply Chain on allocation and replenishment activities to ensure product availability and execution.
  • Analyze sales performance, sell-through, inventory productivity, and markdown effectiveness, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and present reporting that supports business decisions related to floor planning, allocations, and space optimization.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a Senior Analyst, providing guidance on priorities, execution, and professional development.
  • Foster strong cross‑functional relationships with Category Management, Supply Chain, and other business partners to ensure successful execution of merchandising strategies.
Requirements
  • Post‑secondary education in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data and translate insights into business recommendations.

Retail Planning, Merchandising, Floor Planning, Space Planning, Allocations, or Category Management experience is an asset
