Job summary

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited is seeking a Manager, Airworthiness in Mississauga to lead the Airworthiness and RM&S functions, ensuring continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance and product safety across in-service aircraft.

You will set priorities, lead talent development, manage budgets, and collaborate with Transport Canada and other authorities to drive continuous improvement and robust governance.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Transport Canada, FAA, and EASA airworthiness regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of systems, safety, reliability, and continued airworthiness principles.
  • Understanding of aircraft systems, certification requirements, and QMS processes.
  • Experience leading airworthiness, certification, safety, reliability teams in a regulated aerospace environment.
  • Ability to interpret and oversee compliance with airworthiness regulations and standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for Airworthiness and RM&S functions, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish priorities, budgets, and resource plans for Airworthiness and RM&S teams.
  • Ensure staffing, training, and development to meet business needs.
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop section chiefs to strengthen leadership capability.
  • Oversee performance management, goal setting, and career development.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets and resource allocations.
  • Maintain governance, data management, and engineering records systems.
  • Ensure execution of investigations, safety assessments, and reliability analyses.
  • Provide oversight of certification activities with Transport Canada and other authorities.
  • Champion continuous improvement and streamlined processes.
  • Maintain airworthiness policies and compliance with QMS standards.
  • Foster relationships with regulators, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive safety culture, accountability, and operational excellence.
