Job summary

Greater Toronto Airports Authority is seeking a Manager of Operational Modernization to lead a portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives across terminal, airfield and passenger-processing functions. You will translate data and stakeholder input into priorities, contribute to business cases, and drive a multi-year modernization roadmap to improve efficiency, capacity, and safety.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in operations, planning, or strategy execution.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience in aviation or high-volume operational environments.
• Strong analytical and change-management capabilities.
• Knowledge of capacity planning, Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of cross-functional modernization initiatives through implementation and benefits tracking.
• Support delivery of the multi-year modernization roadmap aligning with airport objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, capacity, and cost effectiveness.
• Translate data and stakeholder input into clear priorities and actions.
• Contribute to business cases, implementation plans, and governance structures.
• Lead demand and capacity planning across terminal, airfield, baggage, and passenger processes.
• Advance integrated operating plans with scenario-based planning models.
• Identify constraints and mitigation strategies to boost throughput and service levels.
• Coach and manage performance of direct reports and build capability in CI and change management.
• Foster a culture of Lean and continuous improvement across teams.
• Build cross-functional relationships with IT, Customer Experience, Commercial and Technical Services.
• Engage airlines, ground handlers, and partners to pilot and implement modernization initiatives.
