Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks an Instrumentation & Controls Systems Engineer to support operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of critical infrastructure systems across airport facilities and related assets.

You will design, configure, program, and commission instrumentation and control systems; support PLC, DDC, SCADA, HMI, and BAS; collaborate with operations, maintenance personnel, contractors, and client stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, configuring, and commissioning instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience supporting HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Ability to work with operations teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and commission instrumentation and control systems for facilities.
• Support PLC, DDC, SCADA, HMI, and BAS maintenance.
• Analyze performance and identify reliability improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex controls and communication issues.
• Develop control narratives and sequences of operation.
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures.
• Provide engineering support for HVAC and electrical systems.
• Lead or support control upgrades and modernization projects.
• Review contractor designs and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and cybersecurity policies.
• Participate in commissioning, testing, start-up, and acceptance.
• Collaborate on preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Maintain documentation such as P&IDs and schematics.
• Support cybersecurity best practices for industrial environments.
• Provide after-hours technical support during incidents.
