Job Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of Aircraft
Examples of Work:
  • Inspect and certify aircraft at specific intervals as required by OEM and FAA.
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform necessary corrective actions.
  • Document maintenance on appropriate forms.
  • Remove and replace defective components.
  • Comply with Service Bulletins, Instructions, and Airworthiness Directives.
  • Perform maintenance on Ground Support equipment.
  • Conduct preflight/post-flight inspections and servicing.
  • Maintain aircraft logbooks and historical data.
  • Follow safety, foreign object damage, and tool control procedures.
  • Wash, wax, clean, and maintain aircraft exterior and interior.
  • Serve as a point of contact with Quality Assurance.
  • Advise management on issues affecting aircraft delivery.
  • Ensure correct materials are used for repairs.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
  • Assist supervision and inspect maintenance work.
  • Service oxygen, nitrogen, tires, oil, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform corrosion control checks as required.
  • Greet visitors and clients.
  • Exhibit courteous behavior with customers and coworkers.
  • Assist colleagues and other departments as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and practices.

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent (GED) and two years of related aircraft maintenance experience. An A&P License is required, along with sufficient aviation maintenance tools.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively in English, interpret technical documents, perform basic math, recognize and troubleshoot problems, operate hand and power tools, interpret drawings and schematics, and travel worldwide with necessary security and travel documents. Knowledge of aircraft sheet metal repair, electronic testing equipment, aviation maintenance terminology, and relevant regulations is essential.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The job requires physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, operating tools, and working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and noise.

Compensation

Salary: $48.71 per hour.
