Job summary

WestJet is seeking an Aircraft Materials Coordinator to support a 24/7 operation, ensuring tools, parts, and information are readily available for WestJet Technical Operations. You will manage inventory, coordinate shipping, and uphold safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced aviation environment.

The role requires at least 2 years in warehousing, knowledge of TDG/IATA guidelines, and the ability to obtain security clearances. A valid driver’s license and forklift experience are assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in Stores/Warehousing with inventory management; 1 year in Shipping/Receiving.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract; ability to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance and AVOP within 6 months.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties (walking, climbing, lifting, bending).
• Willingness to work shift work, including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Asset: Inventory Management Accredited Program diploma; knowledge of aviation parts; procurement experience; forklift operation experience; TDG/IATA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to WestJet Technical Operations personnel.
• Support 24/7, 365-day operation for tools, parts, and information availability.
• Maintain inventory levels while optimizing cost, storage, and usage across bases.
• Oversee inbound/outbound flow of inventory.
• Handle Dangerous Goods per TDG/IATA guidelines (certification may be required).
• Record all transactions in the inventory software.
• Package and prepare materials for shipping.
• Store materials per original storage guidelines.
• Source parts and equipment during shortages to minimize aircraft on-ground situations.
• Respond to changing priorities while maintaining a safe operation.
