Job summary

Cargojet Airways Ltd. in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Maintenance Inventory Clerk to manage daily inventory control, storage and shipping of maintenance materials at YHM.

Respond quickly to maintenance requests for parts and tooling, issue items from the maintenance database, reconcile stock and arrange shipping to Cargojet bases and repair shops. The role requires data entry, MS Outlook/Word/Excel skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in parts, warehouse, or material handling.
• Excellent organization, scheduling, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Data entry into an inventory database; proficiency with MS Outlook; basic Word/Excel.
• SAP experience is an asset.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
• Lift 60 lbs and move a 350 lb wheel.
• Valid driver's license; may require a Drivers Airside Pass.
• Aviation parts experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ship or deliver parts/tooling to repair shops.

Primary Objective of the Position:

Daily Inventory control, storage & shipping of Maintenance Materials in YHM.

Essential Position Functions:

• Respond quickly & efficiently to requests from Maintenance for parts & materials.
• Issue parts and tooling from maintenance database and reconcile stock as necessary.
• Shipping & Receiving of Maintenance Comat to and from Cargojet bases.
• Shipping or Delivery of Parts / Tooling to Repair shops.
• Monitor parts / tools for inventory control and shelf life.
• Deliver parts/ tooling to aircraft at various locations around the airport to support Aircraft Maintenance.
• Various other duties incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Work experience related to parts, warehouse, or material handling.
• Must be very well organized, scheduled and have experience working with minimal supervision.
• Work requires a mathematical aptitude.
• Work involves data entry to Inventory database and intermediate proficiency with MS Outlook, and basic proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
• Work experience with SAP is an asset
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize workloads in a high-pressure environment.
• Able to safely lift 60 lbs. and be able to maneuver/ balance a 350 lb. Main wheel.
• Must have a valid Drivers License; must possess or qualify for valid Drivers Airside Pass.
• Aviation Parts experience would be a definite asset.
