Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician (ACA Mechanic) in Petawawa, ON. The role starts with a three-month paid training toward CH-147 certification, with on-site support from the MAS Petawawa site lead and under Boeing accreditation.

The technician will perform mechanical work and complex inspections to prepare aircraft for flight or customer acceptance, while maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with the Defense DRMIS system.

Qualifications

• Must have Maintenance Release Authority (MRA) capabilities and the related process knowledge.
• Experience with Chinook helicopter is an asset.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is preferred.
• College diploma or equivalent military/Transport Canada qualification in pre-flight mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance on CMT aircraft.
• Complete CMS 3 (200-hr) and CMS 4 (400-hr) inspections as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and support aircraft readiness for flight and customer acceptance.
• Create and update maintenance records in DRMIS and ensure accuracy.
• Support special inspections, modifications, and non-standard repairs.
• Maintain proper MOB tool control and compliance with MPM processes.
