Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - M1 or M2

Location: Richmond, BC

Role Summary

Heli‑One Canada is looking for an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (M2 rated) to perform and certify aircraft maintenance to approved airworthiness and regulatory standards. This role involves troubleshooting, accurate maintenance documentation, and working collaboratively to ensure the highest levels of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the required authorizations for the aircraft you work on.
  • Ensure the quality of work carried out by yourself and/or non-certifying staff under your supervision.
  • Assist in instruction and training of apprentices
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawing and blueprints
  • Troubleshoot issues and develop actions to rectify them
  • Accurately document and certify maintenance carried out within your scope of authority.
  • Ensure all documentation used during maintenance is of the correct revision status.
  • Stay current with all amendments to Company Procedures/Manuals and all other relevant technical data.
  • Properly control all tools used during maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the work areas under your control.
  • Work in compliance with the company's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shift work may be required with occasional weekends as required.
  • Travel may be required.
Essential Qualifications
  • Transport Canada AME M licence (M1 or M2 rated)
  • Legal right to live and work in Canada
Desirable Qualifications
  • Type ratings for Bell 412, Sikorsky S92 or Leonardo AW139 are an asset
Skills/Experience:
  • At least 3 years' experience on rotary wing aircraft is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience with AMOS MRO software is an advantage.

Eligibility

Applicants must have the legal right to work in Canada and meet any clearance requirements relevant to the role.

Salary range: $73,163 - $106,486 Based on experience and qualifications

Work Schedule Choice
  • 8 hour days, Monday to Friday (06:00-14:15) or;
  • 10 hour days, Monday to Thursday (06:00-16:30)
Time Off
  • 4 weeks vacation starting with the option to purchase an additional week through payroll deduction
  • 10 days sick leave
  • 13 Statutory Holidays observed

  • Manulife: mandatory 4% with Company matching 4%
