Job summary
Flexjet in Peterborough, ON is seeking a skilled Upholstery Technician to join our aviation interiors team. You will work with leather and fabric to refurbish aircraft seating and components, following blueprints and engineering instructions to high standards of safety and comfort.
Responsibilities include fabricating, repairing, and re-covering seats, sidewalls, and panels, and using a range of industrial sewing machines.
Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent required; college/technical training preferred.
- Extensive upholstery experience, ideally with seating and leather materials.
- Experience in an aviation-related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, repair, modify and refurbish aircraft seats, divans, sidewalls and panels.
- Read blueprints and instructions to cut materials and fit components to specifications.
- Operate industrial sewing machines, sergers, and binding equipment to join seating material.
- Ensure safety, comfort, and structural integrity in all interiors work.
- Collaborate on special projects and adapt to production needs.
