Duties and Responsibilities

The Aircraft Hydraulics Technician will work in our workshop, performing tasks assigned by the team leader.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Keep your professional training and qualifications up to date and ensure tasks are within your qualifications; inform your supervisor of any issues.
  • Ensure work complies with manufacturer standards, Canadian Aviation Regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, or replacement of parts following approved manuals and procedures.
  • Work on hydraulic/pneumatic components including troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Complete independent inspections and keep work reports current.
  • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic test equipment.
  • Check inventory and order materials as needed.
  • Inspect deliveries per company policies.
  • Support safety and quality programs.
  • Perform basic data entry in RAMCO system when required.
  • Attend training for ongoing development.
  • Contribute to workplace improvements and safety evaluations.
  • Ensure safety equipment is in good condition.
  • Perform snow removal as needed.
  • Assist in on-the-job training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Secondary Duties

At the discretion of the Head of BRS.

Qualifications
  • Recognized Aircraft Maintenance Training or equivalent.
  • Experience in aircraft hydraulic maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with complex projects requiring judgment and technical knowledge.
  • Problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
  • Fluency in French required; English proficiency necessary; bilingualism is an asset.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Working Conditions
  • Flexible hours, including overtime and shifts.
  • Outdoor work possible.
  • International travel may be required.
Health & Safety

Compliance with health and safety laws, safe work practices, and hazard reporting is required.

Security Clearance

Level II clearance with Canadian Government and access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program required.
