Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Maintenance Aide in Quebec to help keep our residence, equipment, and grounds safe and functional. You will perform regular maintenance tasks, repair furniture and fixtures, and respond quickly to requests to ensure a comfortable home for residents.

You will also prepare suites for new residents with minor painting and carpentry, while upholding health, safety, and infection control standards.

Qualifications

Secondary school education or equivalent experience.
Previous maintenance experience and ability to use equipment safely.
Strong teamwork and communication skills with staff, residents, and vendors.
Organized and able to keep work areas safe, clean, and efficient.
Committed to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Help with regular maintenance tasks and keep records up to date.
Repair and maintain furniture, fixtures, outdoor spaces, and common areas.
Respond quickly to maintenance requests and report issues as needed.
Prepare suites for new residents, including small repairs and painting.
Assist with preparing suites for new occupancy, including minor carpentry and painting.
Keep supplies organized and follow all health, safety, and infection control rules.
