Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Maintenance Aide to keep resident spaces safe, functional, and well maintained. You’ll perform routine maintenance, repair furniture and fixtures, prepare suites for new residents, and respond quickly to requests with care for safety.

You’ll work in a team, communicate clearly with staff and residents, keep work areas organized, and follow health, safety and infection control rules in a welcoming community that supports growth and leadership.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent experience.
• Previous maintenance experience and ability to use equipment safely.
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff, residents, and vendors.
• Organized and able to keep work areas safe, clean, and efficient.
• Committed to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Help with regular maintenance tasks and keep records up to date.
• Repair and maintain furniture, fixtures, outdoor spaces, and common areas.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and report issues as needed.
• Prepare suites for new residents, including small repairs and painting.
• Assist with preparing suites for new occupancy, including minor carpentry and painting.
