Job description

Thrive Creative is a Calgary custom software company. We work as an on-demand engineering department for our clients, plugging in developers, designers, data and AI specialists and project leads as the work requires, with a team of 12 backed by a network of 50+ specialists.

We use AI in our own delivery every day, and the companies we work with keep asking the same question: how do we get our people actually using this? We’re launching a corporate training offering to answer it, teaching teams how to use tools like Claude in their real day-to-day work, and we’re looking for the person who will build and run it.

What you’ll do
  • Design the curriculum from the ground up: workshops, hands‑on sessions and follow‑up coaching for teams at different levels, from first‑time users to power users and leadership
  • Deliver training in person at client offices, mostly across Calgary, and virtually when it suits the client
  • Tailor each program to the client’s industry, roles and tools, so people leave with workflows they’ll use on Monday rather than a demo they’ll forget
  • Teach responsible use alongside capability: what data belongs in an AI tool and what doesn’t, how to check output, and how to work within a company’s own policies
  • Build reusable materials (exercises, prompt libraries, guides, recorded content) that make the offering stronger with every engagement
  • Work with our engineers when a client wants to go past training into building AI into their systems. You don’t need to do the build; you need to spot the opportunity and bring us in
What we’re looking for
  • A track record of teaching, training or mentoring adults, whether corporate training, facilitation, instructional design, coaching or post‑secondary teaching
  • Deep, hands‑on fluency with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, and the habit of using them in your own work every day
  • The ability to read a room, from a skeptical executive team to a front‑line group that’s nervous about what AI means for their job, and meet people where they are
  • Plain‑language communication. You can explain how these tools work and where they fall short without jargon
  • Comfort building a program from nothing and owning it
  • Willing to travel to client sites across Canada as needed, with all expenses paid
  • Experience setting up AI workflows or automations inside a business
  • Background in a specific industry (legal, finance, healthcare, energy, nonprofit) you could build a specialised track around
  • Experience with change management or organisational learning
How it works

You’ll be delivering mostly on‑site at client offices in and around Calgary, and you’ll have room to shape the offering as it grows, working directly with Thrive’s leadership.
