Job summary

Southwestern Public Health in Woodstock, Ontario is seeking a temporary AI Engineer (AI Solutions and Automation) to design, develop, test, and implement AI, automation, and digital innovation initiatives across the organization.

The role focuses on building secure, maintainable AI-enabled tools, data integrations, and automation solutions that support business processes, information management, and organizational efficiency, with hybrid work options where program needs allow.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience in software, automation, data engineering or AI solutions.
• Experience designing cloud-based solutions and system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled tools and applications.
• Develop solutions using Copilot, Azure AI, Power Platform, and related technologies.
• Create AI agents, workflows, and automation to improve efficiency.
• Lead technical configuration and implementation of AI and data platforms.
• Document architecture, specifications, and approaches.
• Ensure cybersecurity, privacy, and governance controls.
