Huawei Canada is seeking an IT Product Engineer Assistant for a 12-month contract to design, build, and deploy AI-powered HR applications and intelligent agents. You will integrate LLM-based solutions into HR workflows, implement prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and vector databases for internal knowledge bases.

You will also ensure HITL safeguards, security, and compliance while prototyping fast with modern tools.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IS or related field (equiv hands-on experience).
• 2+ years of professional software development with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building AI apps with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI agent frameworks.
• REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, API keys.
• Experience with HRIS/ATS platforms.
• Cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD, Docker, basic infra mgmt.
• Translate AI/ML concepts for non-technical HR stakeholders; strong docs.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Copilot).
• Copilot, Azure AI, Power Platform, Google Workspace AI integrations; vector DBs and embeddings.
• People analytics, HR data pipelines, reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Canadian employment law and privacy regs (PIPEDA, etc.).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered HR applications and agents.
• Design and integrate LLM-based HR workflows with prompt engineering and RAG pipelines.
• Build AI agent frameworks with HITL safeguards for HR decisions.
• Prototype AI solutions using modern AI-assisted tools for faster iteration.
• Design secure integrations between HRIS, ATS, and enterprise tools.
• Create automated workflows with data transformation and API orchestration.
• Develop reusable AI tooling, templates, and documentation; train staff.
• Design secure APIs with access controls, secrets mgmt, and audit logs.
• Test AI systems to protect employee PII and ensure privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with IT security and data governance for enterprise standards.
