Bank of Montreal (BMO) in Toronto is seeking an AI Platform Engineer (New Graduate) to help build, operate, and scale AI infrastructure and platforms. Ideal for recent graduates excited about cloud computing and ML platforms.

You will work with experienced engineers to create reliable, secure platforms enabling AI workloads across the organization and contribute to cutting-edge AI solutions with real business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field completed within the last 12 months.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java or C#.
• Solid fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OO design, REST APIs, Git.
• Familiarity with Linux and scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud-native platform services that support AI and ML workloads.
• Design and implement IaC automation solutions.
• Develop tools, APIs, and services to improve developer productivity and platform reliability.
• Assist in deploying, monitoring, and scaling AI models and ML pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to operationalize AI solutions.
• Monitor platform health and troubleshoot performance and scalability issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for AI and platform teams.
• Participate in system design discussions and code reviews.
• Learn and apply best practices around security, observability, governance, and cloud architecture.
