Job summary

PeoplePilot is seeking an experienced AI Platform Engineer in Canada to support DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and deployment within capital markets. You will guide application teams, troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, and migrate Jenkins and manual deployments to GitHub Actions.

Key duties include configuring pipeline stages, building automation, and supporting Maven, NPM, PyPI, Docker, and Kubernetes environments. Collaboration across teams and strong problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or IT diploma with relevant experience.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines experience across multiple tech stacks.
• Ability to design and debug CI/CD pipeline stages.
• Experience with multiple codebases and build tools.
• Strong Maven knowledge: POM and settings from scratch.
• Proficient in NPM and PyPI builds and commands.
• Experience with .NET, dotnet, MSBuild.
• Strong GitHub Actions workflows, execution, and runners.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AI Platform Engineer to support application teams with their DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and deployment needs within a Capital Markets environment.

In this role, you will work directly with application teams to guide, troubleshoot, and resolve CI/CD pipeline issues. You will also support major migration initiatives, including the migration of existing Jenkins, RLM, and manual deployment processes to GitHub Actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support application teams migrating from Jenkins, RLM, or manual deployments to GitHub Actions
• Troubleshoot and resolve DevOps and CI/CD-related issues
• Create, configure, and debug CI/CD pipeline stages
• Develop automation and configuration required for successful application integration
• Write Maven POM and Settings files from scratch
• Work with different application codebases and build technologies
• Configure and manage GitHub Actions workflows and runners
• Support Jenkins builds, multibranch pipelines, and Maven pipelines
• Diagnose and resolve Jenkins build failures
• Configure and support SonarQube
• Work with deployment and continuous delivery tools including Terraform and UCD
• Support configuration and deployment automation using Ansible
• Work with Docker and containerization, including writing Dockerfiles and using Docker commands
• Support Kubernetes clusters and their management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong experience creating and debugging CI/CD pipeline stages
• Experience working with multiple application codebases
• Strong understanding of Maven, including POM and Super POM concepts
• Ability to create Maven POM and Settings files from scratch
• Experience executing builds for NPM and PyPI project types
• Knowledge of NPM commands
• Experience with .NET, including dotnet and MSBuild
• Strong understanding of GitHub Actions workflows, execution, and runners
