Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a growing Wealth Management Data Management & Insights (DMI) team. The ideal candidate will provide platform engineering, automation, DevOps, infrastructure support, and technical solutions across enterprise application platforms while collaborating with infrastructure teams, development teams, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for DMI application platforms including Unix/Linux, Windows, Sybase, SQL Server, MemSQL, MQ, Kafka, OpenShift, ELK, Hadoop, and Connect
• Provide technical guidance to application development teams on platform, DevOps, and infrastructure solutions
• Design and implement scalable platform solutions for application teams
• Develop automation programs to improve platform support efficiency and reduce manual processes
• Configure platform monitoring, alerts, and operational dashboards to ensure stability and resiliency
• Collaborate with Development, Quality Assurance (QA), and Production Support teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Lead platform initiatives from planning through implementation and successful delivery
• Troubleshoot complex platform, infrastructure, and application issues
• Ensure platforms meet enterprise security, compliance, availability, and operational standards
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, service providers, third-party vendors, and operations teams
• Continuously improve platform reliability, automation, monitoring, and operational processes

Required Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and Windows
• Strong experience with Active Directory, Network Attached Storage (NAS), and SQL Server
• Experience with Message Queuing (MQ) and Apache Kafka
• Experience with public and private cloud platforms including Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, UrbanCode, Nexus, and Ansible
• Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Prognosis
• Strong automation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Wealth Management or Financial Services
• Experience with data platforms and distributed databases
• Knowledge of Hadoop, ELK, Sybase, and MemSQL
• Experience implementing enterprise CI/CD and cloud-native solutions
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, resiliency, and platform governance
