Questrade Financial Group is seeking a Senior Principal AI Engineer to lead hands-on AI engineering across the SDLC, driving productivity, AI CI/CD, pipeline integration, automation, and scalable platform capabilities in a regulated environment.

The role partners with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to establish pragmatic patterns, set technical direction, and help squads ship reliable AI-powered solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related field.
• 10+ years progressive software engineering experience, including 3+ years in AI engineering, LLMOps, AgentOps, or AI-assisted SDLC automation.
• Proven Staff or Principal-level engineer across multiple squads with hands-on impact.
• Deep expertise with AI CI/CD pipelines and production automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and scaling of AI-assisted SDLC capabilities focusing on productivity, AI CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Mentor engineering teams, set clear technical direction, and establish pragmatic, reusable patterns.
• Architect and deploy advanced AI platform capabilities with safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive AI enablement adoption across squads and ensure cross-functional alignment.
