About The Opportunity
  • Outlier is seeking talented writers fluent in English to help train generative AI models.
  • This is a reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity that is remote and offers flexible hours.
Contributions You May Make
  • Reading English texts to rank AI-generated responses.
  • Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
  • Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-produced texts.
Desired Expertise
  • Experience as a professional writer or editor.
  • Enrollment in or completion of an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline.
  • Strong writing style, excellent English spelling and grammar, and good logic and reasoning skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain text strengths and weaknesses.
Payment
  • USD $15 per hour on average for core project work in the US.
  • Estimated up to £11/hr in the UK.
  • Estimated up to $20 CAD/hr in Canada.
  • Rates vary based on expertise, location, and project needs; higher rates may be offered for PhDs or specialized skills.
