Job summary

Protocase Inc. in Sydney, Nova Scotia, invites an AI Engineer (Agentic Workflows) to design and build AI-powered workflows on top of LLMs. This role focuses on orchestration, retrieval, tool integration, and production-ready pipelines.

You will work with product and operations to identify automation opportunities, build robust pipelines, and monitor performance in an in-office setting. Experience with Python and API-based AI tooling is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with at least one agent orchestration framework or workflow automation platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows that plan, call tools, and chain multi-step actions.
• Integrate LLMs into products via APIs and inference frameworks.
• Architect RAG pipelines with document ingestion and vector databases.
• Design prompts, system instructions, and context-management strategies.
• Select orchestration tooling to coordinate multi-agent workflows.
• Build evaluation harnesses to measure accuracy and reliability.
• Translate business problems into technical specifications and prototypes.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and stakeholders on automation opportunities.
• Monitor deployed AI workflows with observability tooling.
• Stay current with AI agent tooling and assess new frameworks.
