Job summary

Fasken is seeking a Legal Technology Lawyer – AI Enablement in Canada to accelerate practical adoption of AI in corporate and litigation work. You will train, coach, and provide real-time support to lawyers across practice groups.

Reporting to the Legal Technology and AI Enablement Lead, you will collaborate with Knowledge and Practice Innovation, design training programs, and help standardize AI workflows while upholding governance and professional judgment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of corporate or litigation experience at a leading law firm.
• LLB, BCL or JD required; MBA/LLM asset.
• Must be a member in good standing with the applicable provincial Law Society.
• Fluency in English and French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key local contact and trusted peer for the legal professionals in their practice groups to lead local change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of legal AI solutions and technologies.
• Attend practice group meetings, build relationships and credibility, communicate benefits, and address barriers to adoption by working closely with local practice teams to advance legal AI solutions and technologies that fit how they work.
• Provide hands-on training, coaching, and real-time on-file support to lawyers to integrate AI into daily work in practical ways.
• Assist in requirements gathering, design and implementation planning for existing or new AI workflows, solutions and technology.
• Collaborate with AI Learning Counsel and Learning & Development to design and deliver practical, experience-based training programs.
