Thomson Reuters is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team building AI‑enabled legal research products within the Global Westlaw Engineering organization. You will guide architecture, standards, and the delivery of secure, scalable experiences across cloud services and RESTful APIs.

The role emphasizes hands‑on leadership, mentoring Senior and Staff engineers, and advancing agentic systems, RAG, and LLM‑based features while collaborating with Product and Design globally.

Qualifications

• This role requires 8+ years of hands‑on software engineering with 3+ years of team leadership.
• Experience shipping secure, production‑grade full‑stack systems at scale.
• Hands‑on with LLMs, RAG, prompts, and agent workflows; daily AI coding tools usage.
• Strong RESTful API design and modern UI architecture with React.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, and mentor engineers across levels.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a software engineering team delivering full‑stack, AI‑enabled products.
• Shape architecture, coding standards, and CI/CD with a DevOps mindset.
• Oversee UI, backend services, and API development at scale.
• Drive GenAI/LLM integration and ensure security and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross‑functional leaders on strategy.
