Abbeal is seeking an AI Developer (AI Engineer) in Montreal to design and evolve AI agents at the core of a fast-growing product. You will ship end-to-end AI features from API to database, deploying to production with a strong focus on reliability and performance.

The role is hybrid in Montreal and requires candidates already in Canada with work rights. You will work directly with founders in a small, energetic team, making concrete, visible impacts on customers and product direction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of development experience, with some AI projects.
• Experience shipping AI agents or LLM applications to production.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals and fast, clean coding.
• Ability to evaluate and improve reliability of LLM systems.

Responsibilities

The role

• Design and evolve the AI agents at the core of the product.
• Deliver end to end, from the API to the database, in production and for real users.
• Make results reliable by measuring performance, testing and making sure every change doesn't break anything.
• Take part in technical and product decisions with the founders.

• You have 3 to 5 years of development experience, part of it on AI projects.

• You are autonomous, you take ownership and you bring the energy that makes a difference in a small team.
• You speak French and English.
