Job summary

Abbeal is seeking an Expert Full Stack AI Developer to join the AI Factory team at a major Canadian bank in Montreal. The role combines frontend work in React with backend development in Python and Elixir, plus data ingestion and AWS Bedrock integration.

The position is permanent, hybrid with 2 days on site in Montreal, and involves building end-to-end AI applications, pipelines, and production support within the AI Factory. Fluency in French and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong command of React, Python, Elixir and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and AWS services (S3, OpenSearch, EKS, Lambda).
• Experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Datadog and Splunk.
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Develop the front end (React) and back end (Python, Elixir) of AI applications.
• Design data ingestion mechanisms for AI workflows.
• Integrate AWS services: Bedrock, S3, OpenSearch, EKS, EC2, Lambda.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD; manage Terraform infrastructure.
• Monitor and support production using Datadog and Splunk; own the run phase.

Permanent role at Abbeal Montreal: build and run end-to-end generative AI applications for the AI Factory of a major Canadian bank. Hybrid, 2 days on site.

Abbeal is hiring an expert full stack AI developer to join the AI Factory team of a major Canadian bank in Montreal. Permanent position with Abbeal.

Context

The AI Factory is the team that industrializes the bank's generative AI use cases. It needs someone who can deliver a complete AI application, from the front end to production, and own it in operation.

The role

• Develop the front end (React) and back end (Python, Elixir) of AI applications
• Design and implement the data ingestion mechanism
• Integrate AWS services: Bedrock, S3, OpenSearch, EKS, EC2, Lambda
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, infrastructure with Terraform
• Handle monitoring, alerting (Datadog, Splunk) and production support: you build it, you run it

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science
• At least 5 years of software development
• Strong command of React, Python, Elixir and Terraform
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and the AWS ecosystem (S3, OpenSearch, EKS, Lambda)

• Permanent position with Abbeal (employee), no freelance or subcontracting for this mandate
