Job summary

OneMedNet is hiring a Software Engineer, AI & Data Platform (Python/Go) for a remote role across Canada with Vancouver, BC location noted. You will build LLM-powered features for clinical data curation and retrieval, and design backend services in Python/Go to handle structured and unstructured data and HL7/FHIR messaging.

Qualifications

• 2+ years shipping production software with strong Python and/or Go.
• Real experience building on LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar).
• Comfort across the stack; able to build clear interfaces without hand-holding.
• Strong SQL and database fundamentals — schema design, query performance.
• Working comfort in AWS and Linux — AWS services and Ubuntu environments.
• Judgment about correctness in healthcare data; prioritize accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Build LLM-powered features for clinical data curation and retrieval — prompt design, evaluation, API integration, and pipelines.
• Design and ship backend services in Python and/or Go that move structured records, unstructured clinical notes, DICOM imaging, and HL7/FHIR messaging securely and fast.
• Answer questions that help close deals by querying partner systems and determining data availability and volume.
• Build interfaces researchers use to search, filter, and visualize cohorts.
• Own quality end to end: instrument features, monitor drift and regression, know when a model is ready to ship.
• Collaborate with clinical and data teams to define what regulatory grade means for datasets.
