Job summary

Hyatt is seeking a Senior ML Engineer to join the Data Science and Machine Learning department in Canada. You will collaborate with the Data and Analytics team to build scalable AI services, translate models into production-ready systems, and advance Hyatt's AI platform maturity.

You will oversee end-to-end ML systems, work with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teammates while driving performance optimization and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating machine learning solutions in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end ML systems, spanning development to production.
• Proficiency with modern ML engineering tooling, cloud platforms, data pipelines, and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end ML systems including data ingestion, feature processing, model training and serving.
• Architect and deploy scalable AI services supporting real-time and batch inference.
• Build and maintain ML infrastructure across cloud environments (EC2, EKS, SageMaker).
• Develop and evolve MLOps platforms, training pipelines, deployment workflows, and model observability.
• Implement CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code to automate model lifecycle management.
• Optimize training and inference performance for cost, latency, and efficiency.
• Monitor production ML systems for accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, governance and security teams.
• Mentor team members on ML engineering and system design.
• Contribute to AI platform maturity initiatives.
